My Visit To The Taxidermy Exhibition In Reno

Late Harvest, an exhibition at the Nevada Museum of Art in Reno, incorporating taxidermy with modern art.

This was an insightful and playful show, mostly highlighting the animal world through the eyes of individual artists. To keep it simple, this exhibition was visually engaging, combining two of my favorite topics, art and the environment/animals. Well, that’s more like three of my favorite topics. In my opinion, worth going to.

I took my sister and daughter to this show with me. My daughter, nine, said she was disappointed because it wasn’t dark enough. She was expecting something more macabre and bizarre. I admit, I thought the same thing too. My only complaint is that, with a nine-year old, I wasn’t able to spend the time reading the labels as much as I would have liked.
